COMING SOON

As a teacher I was approached by one of my kindergarten students, a little girl, to tell them a story, a new story, one that they never heard before. But I did not have a story to tell. Yet she pleas and pleas, soon the entire class was jumping up and down shouting to tell a new story. So, I had to think fast, really fast. Immediately, I instructed the class to sit at their desk, put their heads down on the table, and for someone to turn off the lights, and close their eyes. These few moments allowed me time to think, use my imagination, to create something different to tell the class. I did. I began to tell the story of “Shoon A Moon Princess.” They loved it. That was on a Wednesday. As requested by my supervisor, I returned to that class on Thursday, as I entered, shouts echoed the classroom “SHOON!” We want to hear Shoon again. And I was requested to return to that same classroom again on Friday that same week. Again, the entire classroom jumped up and down, cheerfully, shouting repeatedly, “SHOON!”  Miss Terry we want to hear Shoon again.  Since they enjoyed it so much, I decided to have volunteers tell me the story. I was totally surprised. They remembered, and recited the whole story, every detail.

From there I had many requests for stories, original stories. Soon my imagination was running wild!”  Then ’Reggie the Littlest Superhero,’ ‘Clumsy Feet,’ ‘Nyjha and The Butterfly,’ ‘Ticket,’ ‘Winter Storm,’ ‘Pee Wei, Oh No’!, ‘Uzz,’  … were created. My first few of encouraging stories for children will be  released by “KIDS STORIES LLC.”  Limited versions are (hardback covers and animated videos) scheduled for release in 2025.
