His original purpose was to create a paradise for man throughout the earth.

And He made, out of one man every nation of men to dwell on the entire surface of the earth. (Acts 17:26)

THE HOPE I – Inevitable

Before his death, Moses constructed this Ark and placed God’s laws inside – “Ark of the Covenant”

The Kingdom of Solomon 1016 BC
“Oh, my wise King of Israel, I am Makeda, Queen of Sheba, Queen of Ethiopia, and South Arabia.

Once more, six-year-old, Leah stares the temple’s realm, seeking the harmonious voice. And now she is more confused and cannot determine its whereabouts and begins to wonder if she is becoming ill. But this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, she must remain devoted to her training, to Queen Makeda, or all can be lost if she becomes ill.

The mysterious voice changes slightly and becomes clear in pitch as it begins to sing her name. Singing ever so sweetly, so softly, and irresistibly.

Leah ponders, “I am not of royalty…why do it call to me?”

Diwaza softly utters in an old African tongue: “Let her go!”
Startled by her present and ragged appearance Tom knocks Chumbi to the ground again and aggressively asks, “What yer say-n you old wench?”

But what she speaks is also unknown to Chumbi. Diwaza fearlessly faces him, continuing to stare eye to eye. Although Tom keeps his composure and daringly speaks in a mild tone: “Yer think yer some kind of a miracle worker, a magic woman…don’t yer. Yep! I heard ‘bout yer. Got the whole town all tied up in knots wit fear. Not me…yer old crazy wench!”

Diwaza swings the skulls overhead and about her feet while spinning slowly. With each spin her pitch rises. However, everything she does amuses Tom, and he begin to mimic her every move and her unknown tongue. “What’s wrong wit yer wave’n those hands like this and like that and all this stuff? …Yer dance’n to die, yer old wench! Yer gonna dance right to yer death…he-e-e!”

Diwaza summons the spirits of the river – the protectors and unknowingly he does too. She summons the guardians of the grave to release all dead slaves that found freedom in the swamps, and the souls that swim aimlessly in the river, to now seek their revenge. She summons the spirit of the moon to guide the spirits in their quest. Requesting assistance because she realizes that these spirits are the ones that have allowed her existence. She also realizes that the battle is greater than her own life.

Annoyed with Diwaza ritual shouting, Tom yells: “SHUT YER MOUTH! This White man ain’t scared of no hocus-pocus. My kinfolk invented hocus-pocus. My grand mammy used to conjure up the dead every Tuesday night right after drowning in a jug or two of the best corn liquor yer ever tasted. Yep! She’ll be just a wave’n her arms high to the sky like a bird.”

THE HOPE II – Conspicuous

The desire for dominance continues to spread like a wildfire throughout the world. Thousands and thousands of footsteps trample one another for the “mark of distinction” that only wealth from greed can give. Evil becomes the ‘breath of fresh air’ that silently devours any decency left in man’s soul. – His madness is readily embraced.

The New World – “Black, I am!”

The 15th Century embraces new pathway to a horrifying reality such as – Buck breaking. Combative Black male slaves were flogged and then minutes later raped, put to shame, as their followers, other slaves watched in disgraced, by their white masters to validate their supremacy. These slaves were considered nuisances, which caused great commotion on plantations and needed to understand the new order of superiority, which ultimately ensured their survival. Countless Black men and boys were sent to specific detention facilities, institutions, where they were constantly sexually abused by their White male superiors. Horrid screams sound throughout several sites within the restricted and heavily guarded areas of bondage. After the rapes, their pants would sag below their buttock, signifying their submission, a new lifestyle, and giving notice to others, terrified slaves, that they were sexually abused, and that they now share their master’s bed upon his request.

The Pritchett Estate

The years quickly pass in 1794 AD, exactly fifteen years to the day the three girls were born. The snow melts quickly, and Spring comes early as the sweet smell of flowers seem to rush out the cold harsh winter winds. Each refreshing breath, though, seems to grasp the imagination with hope. Even the birds boldly chirp as if they are rehearsing for an early morning choir, excitedly nestled under the warm sky.

As Ray Randall expected, Janette has finally reached the point of no return – she is totally insane. He keeps her hidden in a semi-dark room, locked away from the world, from any form of normalcy, as she once knew it to be, as her parents, John and Ruth LeFebron highly suggested, also fearing that she could possibly harm herself. Besides, dreading embarrassment if anybody were to discover that their beautiful daughter Janette who had such great potential has gone mad. John and Ruth LeFebron’s aim is to keep family secrets, forever secret.

THADDEUS DELMONT SIMS III and ELIJAH ARMSTRONG

“Man, all I see are brothers rolled up in mud all around us, fighting the White man’s war,” explains Thaddeus.
“Man, this war ain’t nuthin, but the government’s way of getting rid of us dark folk once and for all,” replies Elijah, holding his hand outward. “You want another taste?” grinning serenely he passes a vinyl pouch half filled with the purest grade of a white powdery substance.
“Yeah, Sarge knows just how to kill the pain. Wherever he gets this stuff, all I got to say is, keep it comin’!” Placing his finger inside the pouch, coating it, before bringing his finger to his nose and inhaling deeply. “Elijah, this stuff will make you forget everythang and anythang that can possibly please a man, any man! …Sweet whispers in the night, makes lovin’ all right. But this here stuff will last all day and all night!”
“Thad, Man, you got that right! Don’t get me wrong. I love a sweet and tender-roni laying up next to me after some good lovin. But the last thing I need is to be thinking ‘bout my girl and whine up getting my head blown clear off. I gotta keep focus! Especially if I want to lay my head on those enormous, sumptuous, breast again.”
“You know it, bro!” grinning although looking seriously, “Elijah, this’s exactly what we need with all these little bitty, crazy, Vietcong guerrillas, hiding up in these bushes.”
“You got that right! They out there waitin’ to shoot a brother,” adds Elijah, while snorting huge amount cocaine.
“That’s why this stuff is so plentiful. They supply us with this stuff, this here cocaine, so we won’t feel a thing,” voices Thaddeus pinching his nostrils tightly together, after inhaling.
“And I don’t want to feel anything, anyway, Thad. Bullets flying here and bullets flying there, hey, we got bullet flying everywhere!” looking wide-eyed and smiling silly.
“Brother-man, you can say that again! When those Cong start shooting back, I won’t feel a thing. I can see me running like a mad fool. Pow! Pow! Pow! Trying to shoot as many of those suckers as I can,” grins Thad.
Elijah agrees, shaking his head: “Thad, this stuff will have you running and shooting an empty gun! You’ll swear that you done shot a hundred of those rascals.” Elijah thinks back to his first taste of cocaine: “Yeah, take a trip to the other side of hell. If you ain’t there now, this stuff here will surely get you there. …A blind dog leading a blind man.” Yeah! Ha, ha! You can say that again, “chuckles Thad. “Man, a brother could make cool million off this stuff back home.”
“True, true enough! But I’m pretty-sure that the Man done beat us to it,” says Elijah in a moderate tone with his legs crossed, pressing the heel of one foot atop the toe of the other.
“That’s for sho`! The government got this stuff tightly sealed and ready to deal!” nods Thad, grinning while gazing outward.
“For sho`! That’s for darn sho`!” repeats Elijah.
